I was curious whether a printed housing could handle a 60W light. The active cooling and metal heatsink layout are the important parts here. After testing it in short sessions, the design feels practical as long as you use it like a high-output tool and not a small low-power torch.
It arrives fully assembled and ready to use. Just pay attention to the battery direction when loading the cells. The light feels solid in the hand. I would recommend it to makers and technical users, but it is just as easy to use for anyone who wants a finished work light out of the box.
The design has a prototype engineering look, which I personally like. It does not feel like a generic plastic light from a hardware store. The printed body and visible module logic make it more interesting, especially if you care about how the product is built.
The light spread is useful for a desk, garage, and general repair work. I prefer this over a narrow long-distance flashlight beam because it lights up the whole working area. The 30W mode is probably the setting I would use most often because it balances brightness and runtime well.
What I like most is that it feels like a real product but still keeps the hardware spirit open. Seeing the board files and internal model gives more confidence in what is inside. That is a real strength for the right customer.
The two 21700 battery setup is a good choice. I prefer replaceable cells because I do not want a light to become useless when the battery ages. The runtime numbers also feel realistic for this output level. High mode is for short use, while the lower mode is much better for longer jobs.
Forge 60 makes the most sense for people who enjoy practical hardware and understand that a high-power light has tradeoffs. The brightness is excellent, the charging setup is modern, and the serviceable design is a major plus. I would not position it as a simple mass-market flashlight, but as a capable maker-focused work light it is very compelling.
